Ruby is Opal's sister and identical to her in sweetness, if not in looks. Ruby's mom was a 35 lb tri-colored low-rider mix, so Ruby clearly must take after a shepherd dad!  Ruby is a very silly and affectionate puppy. She is one of those dogs that wags her whole back end when she's happy, and that is pretty much all the time. She loves to be snuggled and will find a way to wiggle herself into your arms if kneel down to her level to greet her. If her future owners aren't natural cuddlers, she will get them trained to it in no time. Ruby appears to be a shepherd mix and is about 20 pounds at 4 months so we think she will probably top out around 50 pounds at most.  Ruby loves toys - with balls and frisbees being her current favorites. For the first month or two she completely ignored the cat in her foster home, acting like he was invisible - what you can't see can't hurt you! Now Ruby has caught on that cats aren't puppy killers, so she is much more interested in the cat but in a nice, friendly way that doesn't bother him. Ruby's little clown face is adorable enough in her pictures, but she's really a charmer in person! She's a gentle, playful, loving puppy who doesn't get too rowdy and couldn't be more affectionate. She's a real people pleaser too, so she will be easy to train. A perfect family dog - for any kind of family!
