We picked up this 80 pounder from the pound yesterday but didn't want to waste a minute getting him up on the website - more pics coming soon! Randy is a shepherd/husky mix who was nearly brown at the pound, but turned white after several baths. As you can see, Randy is a handsome boy with a thick coat and a baseball bat for a tail. He's the gentle giant type, which is an especially good thing right now since no one has taught him not to jump up to say hello. He's smart and it's not a difficult message for a dog to understand, so he'll say hi with four on the floor very soon. At four years old, Randy is all grown up, but he's got plenty of young dog energy and loves his playtime out in the yard. Regardless of where he is though, Randy loves to be with humans. We think he's been a house dog at some point in his life because he thinks he belongs on the furniture (not the case in his foster home) and he seems used to car rides, although it may just be because he adapts quickly to new experiences. He's confident, but not ultra brave, since he was a little scared of some squeaky toys :) After his first night's sleep in his foster home, he decided to wake up his people by pulling the covers off the bed - an honest mistake for a newbie pooch to make ;) We're looking forward to learning more about his big lunk. Stay tuned!
