Puglet is a pug terrier mix who came to the Athens pound with another dog as part of a neglect case. Both were chained to a tree and severely underweight. Puglet has since gained all the weight he needs and bears no scars in the personality department - he's fitting in beautifully with the other dogs in his foster home and soaks up human attention. He's very pleased to discover that he's not a yard ornament, he's a lap ornament! Puglet has the curly tail and coloring of a pug and the outgoing, can-do attitude of a terrier. Unfortunately (but not surprisingly) he also has heartworms, but he's responding well to treatment and will have a clean bill of health by the end of April. He's not thrilled about the 'keeping still and quiet' regimen of heartworm treatment, but it still beats being chained to a tree! We're taking applications for this wonderful boy and we can't wait to put him in a permanent, happy home where he is a part of the family, not the shrubbery.
