Opal is Cameo's puppy and Ruby's sister. She's a playful but gentle little soul whose coloring fits her personality - she's like the creamy center of a sweet cookie :) When she first arrived in her foster home, she was scared of everything, and had to be carried from her crate to the yard and back again. Poor thing had never known much in her life except being at the pound, since she was dumped there with her mom and sis when she was tiny. It didn't take her long to realize that her life had taken a U-turn when she got to her foster home. People to love, new dogs to meet, a big yard full of toys and balls to play with - she went from hell to heaven. Opal has quickly blossomed into quite a lover of a pup! She loves to be petted, but she's not quite as pushy about it as her sister Ruby. Opal is also a real beauty with soft white fur, accented by a few black and tan highlights she inherited from her mom. Her pictures don't begin to do her justice, and they can't begin to capture her endearing personality. About half our volunteers wanted to adopt her by the end of her first adopt a pet day ;)  Opal is about 20 pounds at 4 months, so she will probably top out around 50 pounds or less.  Opal is a real treasure - if you meet her you won't be able to resist her.
