Missy is a lover pie of a young dog - an airedale/golden retriever mix and 60lbs of cuddly puppy. Missy was a heavily pregant stray when she wandered into the neighborhood of an ACR foster home. Similar good luck did not follow for her puppies unfortunately - all eight of them died shortly before or after they were born. It is probably just as well for Missy though, who's just a teenager with a puppy attitude toward life. She loves absolutely everybody (she really wanted to give birth on her foster mom's lap and was only reluctantly dissuaded from that) and gets along great with other dogs of all sizes. Some of our pictures show her having fun at a local dog park, and proving that she can stand up on her hind legs and beg just as prettily as any tiny dog ;) She doesn't live with kids in her foster home, but she is does fine with them when she meets them at the park. She's also fine with the cats in her foster home - she's mildly interested, but lets them go their own way. Missy is a very smart girl who wants to please, so she has been very easy for her foster mom to train. She's already learned sit, stay, off, heel, come and even gives high fives. Like any loyal dog, Missy always wants to be near her people. She does fine in the yard or in her crate, but she'd rather be snuggled up next to you. She's easy going but still has the spunk of a pup when it comes to playtime. She likes the dog park, short walks, or just hanging out in general. Like all Goldens she is easy to please. She has a favorite green ball that she loves to toss in the air and clown around with. Missy is irresistable when she sits and stares up at you with her ears perked upright, her eyes wide open, and her tail just a waggin'. She also loves to sit calmly underneath her foster's desk while she studies. Every once in a while she'll stand up for a quick pet and then lay back down. Missy has loads of personality and molds her mood to suit whatever is going on in her environment.
