Anna must have been a boy scout in a previous life, because when she got lost she knew just what to do - she wandered into a local vet's garage. Her first rescuer could not keep her, but was very sad to see her go because she is such a sweetie. Anna is a teenager, about nine months old and adorably gangly, with long skinny legs and big paws. She still has a little filling out to do, but we think she'll be a medium-sized dog, about 45 lbs or so.
Anna has a confession to make. She's a play-a-holic. She absolutely loves getting silly with other dogs and at our adopt a pets she is quite the social butterfly, ready to give a play bow or dive into a wrestling match any time. At her foster home she is often found enjoying a round of tug-of war or 'dirty dog' with her canine foster brother, Moe. Of course, after she plays hard, she rests even harder. Once she's asleep, she's a sack of potatoes. Anna is also an extremely affectionate girl and is a big fan of belly rubs. Being a young dog still adapting to housedoghood, she is working on her house training, but she's nearly there already' and has quickly learned that there is a treat in store when she uses the bathroom outside.
Anna is curious about the cat in her foster home, but 'Bubba the Boss' doesn't let her get too confident - we think she would be fine in a home with cats. She also knows how to moderate her playing style to suit her partner of the moment, so we also think she would be good with kids too. Since Anna is a young dog with plenty of energy and spirit, she would do best in a house where she had friends (human or doggy) and lots of activity. She is very smart, and eager to please, so she'd be a quick study in doggy school..
And needless to say, she's a beauty!
